Brewstars vs. Pillagers on Thu, May 20, 2010
Fresh off a recent defeat, the Pillagers came back from behind to defeat the Brewstars 2 - 1. Cole Fallis scored the first goal of the game at 9:58 in the third period to put the Brewstars on the scoreboard. Mike Bannister of the Pillagers tied the game up with 2 minutes remaining. The game headed to a sudden-death overtime shootout where Axel Sorensen of the Pillagers scored the game winning goal, to capture the CAHL Cup Championship. Big Guns vs. Puck Pimps on Tue, May 18, 2010 The Big Guns won their second game in a row against the Puck Pimps, defeating the team 5 - 4. Heading into the third period, the score was tied at three. A Puck Pimps' power play goal scored by Josh Hansen (1 goal, 1 assist) put his team up by one point. Minutes later, a Big Guns' power play goal scored by Karl Johannson re-tied the game at four. The game entered a sudden-death overtime shootout where Toby Henneberg scored the game-winning goal for the Big Guns. Pillagers vs. Brewstars on Tue, May 18, 2010 The Brewstars rebounded from a recent loss against the Pillagers to defeat the team 5 - 3 on Tuesday evening. Cole Fallis led the Brewstars in scoring with a pair of goals, and Mike Loptson (1 goal, 1 assist), Matt Desmarais (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jason Deck each scored single goals. Jeff McKinnon (1 goal, 1 assist), Axel Sorensen (1 goal, 1 assist) and Sean Leeder each scored goals for the Pillagers. Integral Energy Services vs. Punishers on Tue, May 18, 2010 Integral Energy Services rallied to defeat the Punishers for the second game in a row, conquering the team 8 - 4. Sean Capouilla (3 goals, 1 assist) had a hat trick in the victory while Andrew Russell (1 goal, 2 assists), Drew Stodalka (1 goal, 2 assists), Nate Kazimir (1 goal, 1 assist) and Tyler Guluche each scored a single goal. Scoring for the Punishers were Perry Forget (2 goals), Sean Cramer and Jeff Owel. Absolute Bulldogs vs. El Fuego on Tue, May 18, 2010 El Fuego defeated the Absolute bulldogs for the second game in a row by a final score of 4 - 1. Ryan Makar scored a pair of goals to lead El Fuego in scoring, while Greg Walter (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nick Small each put the puck across the line once. El Fuego's goaltender, Graeden Malmberg, stopped 24 shots for a .960 save percentage. The only goal for the Absolute Bulldogs was scored by Scott Stooshnoff. El Fuego vs. Absolute Bulldogs on Mon, May 17, 2010 Troy Talkkari and Rob Sakamoto both scored a pair of goals as El Fuego defeated the Absolute Bulldogs 5 - 3. One of Sakamoto's goals was scored on an empty net. Rob Slavich (1 goal, 2 assists) also scored for El Fuego and led the team in points in the game. Ian Johnston had a couple goals for the Bulldogs and Wes McKenzie scored a single point in the game. Punishers vs. Integral Energy Services on Mon, May 17, 2010 Integral Energy Services dominated over the Punishers by a 5 goal margin, defeating the team 6 - 1 in playoff action. Andrew Russell (2 goals, 1 assist) and Tyler Guluche (1 goal, 2 assists) led Integral Energy for points, and Greg Hounslow (1 goal, 1 assist), Brendan Brodie and Tyson Eresman each scored one goal. Ryan Young scored the only goal for the Punishers. Brewstars vs. Pillagers on Mon, May 17, 2010 Mike Bannister (1 goal, 1 assist), Axel Sorensen, Graham Rapson and Braiden Burke each scored for the Pillagers as their team defeated the Brewstars 4 - 2. Bannister's goal was scored on an empty net with 0:26 remaining in the game. Pillagers' goaltender, Cole Maruk, stopped 23 shots for a .920 save percentage. Connor Doherty and Matt Desmarais both scored single goals for the Brewstars. Puck Pimps vs. Big Guns on Mon, May 17, 2010 The Big Guns had strong second period effort which resulted in 3 goals and contributed to a 4 - 3 victory over the Puck Pimps. Karl Johannson led the Big Guns in scoring with a pair of goals, while Jeff Johnson (1 goal, 1 assist) and Johnny Owens each found the back of the net once. Joey Sewell (1 goal, 2 assists), Keith Chyzyk (1 goal, 1 assist) and Willie Yuzicapi each scored a goal for the Puck Pimps. Petrin Mechanical vs. Dynasty on Sat, May 15, 2010 Petrin Mechanical narrowly defeated the Dynasty 5 - 4 in a close playoff contest. Mike Delahunt led the scoring for Petrin Mechanical with a pair of third period goals, including one while shorthanded. Dustin Graham (1 goal, 1 assist), Chad Martin, and Tim Sommers also found the back of the net for Petrin Mechanical. Hung Luu (2 goals, 1 assist) was the scoring leader for the Dynasty and Brian Chau (1 goal, 2 assists) was tied with Luu for points in the game. Outlaws vs. Tea Bag of Justice on Sat, May 15, 2010 Garrette Baptiste (3 goals, 3 assists) had a six point night for the Outlaws as they defeated the Tea Bag of Justice 7 - 4. Tim House (2 goals, 3 assists) and Preston Hunter (2 goals) rounded out the scoring for the Outlaws. Also scoring a hat trick this game was Ian Gillies of the Tea Bag of Justice. James Buchanan scored the only other goal for the Tea Bag of Justice. Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors vs. Manimals on Sat, May 15, 2010 It was tied at one going into the third period between the Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors and the Manimals. At 10:16 of the third period, Jordan Belcourt of the Manimals scored his second goal of the game. Shortly thereafter at 7:54, Kevin Stephens scored for the Professors to tie the game at two. Jordan Belcourt scored his hat trick and the game winning goal for the Manimals at 7:07 paving the way to a Manimals 3 - 2 victory. By David Welichka |
