Warthogs vs. Attack on Wed, Jan 14, 2015
The Attack had exceptional performances from sharpshooters #10 Shaun MacDonald and #9 Travis Merrick who combined for a seven goal act. #16 Richard Malan was just as superb with a three goal statement of his own for the Warthogs.
#3 Layne Semenchuk also scored for the Warthogs while Malan, #23 Nick Conway, #5 Sylvain Drolet, #18 Matt Beatty, and even goalie #30 Justin Bonsteel had the assists.
The Attack offence was supported by #18 Mark Bagnall, #7 John Cameron, #27 Jim Anderson and #8 Scott Desmarais who all struck the back of the goal net. The setup men of the night were MacDonald, Desmarais, Anderson, Cameron, Merrick, Bagnall, #19 Matt Fellows, #13 Jon Remmer, #83 Darren Paddock, and #23 Brian Zaharko.
The hefty win places the Attack within just six points of first place to start the second half of the regular season next week.

Like a high speed chess match the Attack goaltender #35 Jay Cayetano is always anticipating his opponents next move.
#33 Mark Beatty is the leading Warthogs scorer for a reason as he fires this laser beam towards the Attack net.
#10 Shaun MacDonald snipes a virtually unstoppable top corner goal for the Attack during the second period.
The Warthogs #16 Richard Malan makes a perfect forehand to backhand and shelf move to score on the breakaway during the opening frame on his way to an incredible hat trick.
#30 Justin Bonsteel quickly closes up the five hole to make a great stop as #7 John Cameron is in dangerously close to try to bury the puck.
#9 Travis Merrick throws this wicked shot at the Warthogs mesh as he finished the match with a fearsome hat trick. |
