Tyro Maniacs vs. Spitfires on Thu, Jul 29, 2010
Chris Crowell scored his second goal of the game in the overtime shootout to signal a 4 - 3 victory for the Spitfires over the Tyro Maniacs. Mike Thom and Jason Pacholko both scored once in their team's victory. Josh Horning, Jason Coleman and Todd Rysz each scored a single goal for the Tyro Maniacs. The Spitfires came from one goal behind in the first period to finish on top at the end of the match.

Saints vs. The Farm on Thu, Jul 29, 2010

Scott Lyons was the hero as he scored the shootout winning goal and the game tying goal with just 3:35 left in the third period for the Spitfires. Andy Fosshiem and Tyler Seminuk were the other goal scorers for the Spitfires while Jason Arnason made 18 saves in regulation plus three saves during the shootout. Greg Almond, Blaine Wiseman, and Chad Johnson were the snipers for the InCom Barons as they each contributed a goal on the night. Connor Hart made 22 stops in the three periods and turned aside two breakaway attempts in the shootout.

Men in Blue vs. Eagles on Thu, Jun 24, 2010
The Eagles forward Adam Chin scored his second goal of the night with 37 seconds left in the game, into the empty net, to secure the 8-5 victory over the Men in Blue. Will Croft had a two goal night for the Eagles as well, scoring both goals in the middle period. Dylan Tedford, Justin Allen, Jordan Ludlow, and Brad Forster all hit the back of the net for the winning Eagles. Stefan Migotti denied 26 of the 31 shots by the Men in Blue. Steve Chaffin rifled in two pucks for the Men in Blue while Henry Adams, A.J. DeRose, and Colin Ropchaun each notched a goal. Devon Hardie finished with 25 saves for the Men in Blue.

Strangers vs. Absolute Bulldogs on Thu, Jun 24, 2010
The Absolute Bulldogs outscored the Strangers 7-3 to take home the victory on Thursday night. Jeff Evans topped all players with a five point match for the Bulldogs with a pair of goals and three assists. Scott Stooshinoff, Ray Fraser, Dave Mewha, Stefan Bieber, and Shane O'Bryan also scored a goal apiece for the Absolute Bulldogs. Bucky Schneider made 32 saves for the win. Rehn Morris, Logan Huston, and Adam Melon fired the pucks in for the Strangers team while goaltender Mike Solobay turned aside 21 shots in the game.

The Xtreme Xecutioners opened the CAHL 2010 summer season with an 8 - 6 victory over the Calgary Archives Renegades. Both Adam Hamilton and Nick Bassarab had a pair of goals for the Xecutioners, but Camilo Lopez (1 goal, 3 assists) led the team in points with four on the evening. Matt Buckholtz (2 goals, 2 assists) of the Renegades also had four points. The Xecutioners outshot the Renegades by nearly double making 40 shots on net to the Renegades' 22.

Saints vs. Maguire's Smooth Edge on Mon, May 31, 2010
Maguire's Smooth Edge dominated over the Saints 10 - 1 in their first match-up of the 2010 summer season. Maguire's Ryan Cheshire had an astounding 5 goals in the game, and Jeff MacPhee (1 goal, 4 assists) tied him with five points. The only goal for the Saints was scored by Andrew Tuck in the second period. Maguire's had 45 shots on net in their victory.   

Polar Bears vs. Spitfires on Mon, May 31, 2010

Fresh off a recent defeat, the Pillagers came back from behind to defeat the Brewstars 2 - 1. Cole Fallis scored the first goal of the game at 9:58 in the third period to put the Brewstars on the scoreboard. Mike Bannister of the Pillagers tied the game up with 2 minutes remaining. The game headed to a sudden-death overtime shootout where Axel Sorensen of the Pillagers scored the game winning goal, to capture the CAHL Cup Championship.


Big Guns vs. Puck Pimps on Tue, May 18, 2010
The Big Guns won their second game in a row against the Puck Pimps, defeating the team 5 - 4. Heading into the third period, the score was tied at three. A Puck Pimps' power play goal scored by Josh Hansen (1 goal, 1 assist) put his team up by one point. Minutes later, a Big Guns' power play goal scored by Karl Johannson re-tied the game at four. The game entered a sudden-death overtime shootout where Toby Henneberg scored the game-winning goal for the Big Guns.

The Brewstars rebounded from a recent loss against the Pillagers to defeat the team 5 - 3 on Tuesday evening. It was tied at one going into the third period between the Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors and the Manimals. At 10:16 of the third period, Jordan Belcourt of the Manimals scored his second goal of the game. Shortly thereafter at 7:54, Kevin Stephens scored for the Professors to tie the game at two. Jordan Belcourt scored his hat trick and the game winning goal for the Manimals at 7:07 paving the way to a Manimals 3 - 2 victory.

Troy Talkkari scored his first goal of the playoffs in a sudden-death overtime shootout to give El Fuego a 5 - 4 victory over the Band of Brothers. Rob Sakamoto led El Fuego in scoring with a hat trick, while Chris Muldoon netted a single goal. Jason Kardas had a two goal game for the Band of Brothers and Calvin Yau and Stan Wong each contributed a single goal.

Mike Curlew (2 goals, 3 assists) and Tyler McNabb (2 goals) each had a pair of goals for District 5 as their team defeated a short-benched UFA Snipers 7 - 4. Also scoring for District 5 were Brent Fedirko (1 goal, 3 assists), Jamie Heidt and Steve Brisebois. Jeremy Chadsey had a huge night for the UFA Snipers, scoring all of his team's goals for the game. Chadsey scored two of his goals on the power play, making the UFA Snipers 2 for 2 on the man advantage.

The Prairie Seals scored two power play goals and a shorthanded goal as they defeated the Samsquanches 8 - 2. Dean Dueck (2 goals, 2 assists), Brad Boettger (2 goals, 1 assist) and Jeff Nail (2 goals) each had a pair of goals for the Prairie Seals. Jason Williams scored a shorthanded goal for the Samsquanches to start the game, and the other Samsquanches goal was scored by Doug Hatch in the second period.

One of Serrao's goals was scored while his team was shorthanded late in the third period. Andrew Tavender scored both goals for the Calgary Archives Renegades, one each in the first and third periods. The penalty killing lines remained strong for both teams as they were unable to score on the power play.

The Cobras and the CANA Worms had a close scoring, first-round playoff game on Monday evening. The second period proved to be the pivotal point in a game between the Shoguns and Integral Energy Services. Both teams were equally matched in scoring in the first and third periods of the game, each scoring a pair of goals per period. In the second period, three different Shoguns players (Li, Chan and Hwang) found the back of the net. Brendan Brodie of Integral Energy Services netted his 27th goal of the year but his team was eventually defeated 7 - 5 by the Shoguns.

Scoring goals for the Absolute Bulldogs were Jamie Hunter and Wes McKenzie. McKenzie's goal was scored on the power play as El Fuego was fighting off a minor penalty for tripping.

The Puck Pimps led by three goals going into the third period when Steve Walker and Geoff Lambert of the Platinum Rats each found the back of the net to put the score within one goal. Dom Niro (2 goals) scored the final goal of the game to sink the chances of a comeback for the Platinum Rats.

Curtis Billsten (2 goals) and Tuuduu (Nolan) Poucette both had a pair of goals for the UFA Snipers as they defeated the Shockers 5 - 4 in an overtime shootout. Andrew Knouse (2 goals), led the scoring for the Shockers, scoring two goals. In the sudden-death shootout it was Curtis Billsten of the Snipers who found the back of the net to score the game winning goal for his team.

Ice Storm vs. Wardens on Mon, Apr 26, 2010
The Ice Storm came down on the Wardens in a 5 - 4 shootout victory. Brett Staniforth of the Wardens scored a late third period goal that tied the game at 4 goals aside. Then, to cap of his evening with the hat trick and score the game winning, sudden-death, overtime shootout goal, it was Brett Staniforth who found the back of the net again to signal the Ice Storm's victory. Mike Danyluk led the Wardens in scoring with a pair of goals.

Warriors vs. Calgary Archives Renegades on Mon, Apr 26, 2010
Chris Bannister and Dwayne Simpson both scored a pair of goals to lead the Warriors in scoring, while Ryan Kerr (1 goal, 3 assists) led the team in points as the Warriors defeated the Calgary Archives Renegades 7 - 4. One of Simpson's goals was scored while his team was on the power play. The Renegades goals were scored by Austin McKinnon (2 goals, 1 assist), Andrew Tavender (1 goal, 1 assist) and Dan Popp.

The Jets played a strong first and second period and were able to protect their lead in the third period to defeat the Kings 8 - 5. Steve Koenig (3 goals, 1 assist) scored a hat trick for the Jets in the victory. Kings player, Carl Timmer (2 goals, 1 assist), led the Kings in scoring with a pair of goals. The Kings gave a valiant effort to get ahead on the scoreboard by outshooting the Jets 41 - 33, but Jets goaltender, Geoff Hwang, was solid between the pipes.

Iron Maiden and the Jets faced off in a high-scoring, closely matched game on Saturday night. Iron Maiden's Jeff Sobb (5 goals, 2 assists) led the team in scoring while Judd Casper (3 goals, 2 assists) and Dave Lovsin (3 goals, 1 assist) each scored hat tricks. Corey Doherty (3 goals, 4 assists) and Adam Forbes-King (3 goals, 3 assists) each scored hat tricks for the Admirals. Iron Maiden defeated the Admirals 11 - 9.

Trendon Labelle (4 goals, 1 assist) led Morley in scoring, while Keon Holloway (3 goals, 3 assists) led the team in points. Holloway's third goal of the night was his 48th goal of the season. With 40 seconds remaining in the third period, Sean Leeder put the puck into the empty net to signal a 10 - 8 Sculptures win.

Red Hawks vs. Manimals on Sat, Apr 24, 2010
Jordan Belcourt of the Manimals and Trevor Murl of the Red Hawks scored in the first period to tie the score at one. Carey Dumont and Satesh Bassit each scored goals in the second period to put the Manimals up by two. Neither team was able to put the puck past the line in the third period, which led to the Manimals defeating the Red Hawks by a 3 - 1 score.

Top Dogs vs. The Jets on Fri, Apr 23, 2010
The Jets and the Top Dogs battled to a 4 - 4 tie in a game where both goaltenders saw a ton of shots. The Jets goaltender, Justin Stiner, stopped 44 shots to earn a .917 save percentage. In the other crease, Top Dogs goaltender, Dave Bernard rejected 56 shots to finish with a .933 save percentage. Both goalies stood on their heads in the third period and didn't allow a single puck to cross the goal line.

Ice Holes vs. Dynasty on Fri, Apr 23, 2010
The Dynasty capitalized on each of their three power plays to defeat the Ice Holes 8 - 2. Peter Nguyen (2 goals, 2 assists), Huy Lam (2 goals, 1 assist) and Matthew Hoang each scored a pair of goals for the Dynasty in the victory, while Brandon Leong assisted on five goals. The Discharge narrowly defeated the Outlaws in a close-scoring game. Julian Aiuto of the Outlaws had a superb second period, scoring 4 goals to put his team up by one at the end of the period. The Discharge rallied in the third period, scoring 3 quick goals to regain the lead. A shorthanded goal by Blaine Dixon of the Outlaws put his team within one point before time expired. Steve Luft scored a hat trick for the Discharge in their 7 - 6 victory.


CANA Worms vs. Beavers on Thu, Apr 22, 2010
Taras Foremsky scored a hat trick for the Beavers as his team defeated the CANA Worms 5 - 3. Foremsky's three goals put him at 49 goals on the season, one goal short of the 50 goal marker. The CANA Worms built up a three goal lead in the first period with a pair of goals by Jay Peipmann and a goal by Jordon Tilley. The Beavers rebounded and secured their win by scoring 5 unanswered goals.

Jeff Cameron (8 goals, 1 assist) dominated for the Warriors and was directly involved in every point his team scored, including the sudden-death shootout game winning goal. Rob Banks (2 goals, 1 assist) and Mike Hartwick (2 goals, 1 assist) led the Spies in scoring. The Warriors defeated the Spies by a score of 9 - 8 in the shootout finale.

Bruins Eugene Vath scored a shorthanded goal seconds after the third period puck drop to put his team up by one. Vath's goal would eventually become the game winning goal as the Bruins defeated the Punishers 5 - 4.


Extreme Xecutioners vs. The Money Shots on Mon, Apr 19, 2010
The Money Shots defeated the Extreme Xecutioners in a high-scoring, Monday evening game. Ryan Merkley (3 goals, 1 assist), Graeme Sparks (2 goals, 2 assists) and Doan Galarnau (1 goal, 3 assists) each had a four-point evening for the Money Shots. On the other bench, Xecutioners players Jeff Toth (2 goals, 1 assist) and Dean Foster (1 goal, 1 assist) put the goals up on the board. The Ambrose University College Lions were narrowly defeated 7 - 5 by District 5 on Monday evening. After two periods, the game was tied at five. In the third period, District 5 took the lead with goals scored by Jamie Heidt, and an empty netter with three seconds remaining by Mark Phillips (1 goal, 1 assist). Tyson McCombs led the Lions in scoring with a pair of goals while TJ Smith led the team in points with three assists.

Noah Hughes led the scoring for the West with two goals, while Ian Welwood (1 goal, 2 assists) led the team in points. After two periods of play the score was tied at five. A goal by Mark Jonker with four minutes remaining in the third period was the game-winning goal in the weeknight division D West's 6 - 5 win.

The Weeknight Division C 2nd Team battled the Weekend Division C 2nd Team in an all-star matchup. Weeknight player Dave Serrao opened the first period scoring with a couple of goals less than four minutes apart. Weekend player Craig Greenwood responded with a goal. In the second period, weeknight players Adam Ludwar and Mike Rankin found the back of the net to put their team up by three. In the third period, Cole Piechotta scored for the weekend team, followed by Mike Rankin of the weeknight crew putting the puck across the line. With less than a minute remaining, weekend player Tim Bechtold scored to make the final score 5 - 3 for the weeknight division C 2nd team.

Weeknight Division C 1st Team All-Stars vs. Weekend Division C 1st Team All-Stars on Sun, Apr 18, 2010
A thrilling, sudden-death overtime shootout game saw the Weekend Division C 1st Team All-Stars face off against the Weeknight Division C 1st Team All-Stars. Mike Hawtwick scored the only goal in the first period to put the weeknight team up by one. Weekend player Peter Nguyen responded by scoring the only goal in the second period. In the third period, Eric Henderson of the weekend team scored to give his team the lead, which was quickly tied up again with a goal from weeknight player Tony Fantini. It was Mike Hawtwick who scored his second goal of the game in the shootout to give a 3 - 2 victory for the Weeknight Division C 1st Team All-Stars.

The 9pm weeknight Division C West team thoroughly defeated the 9pm Weeknight Division C East team by a score of 10 - 5 in all-star hockey action. Bobby Duncan led the scoring for the West with an astonishing five goals, and Brad Boettger was a force with six assists. Two of Bobby Duncan's goals in the third period were scored sixteen seconds apart. Steve Nielsen and Jay Peipmann led the East, each tallying a goal and an assist.

It was all the Weekend Division B 2nd team in the first period as Ian Gillies, Joey Sewell, Kevin King and Jeff McKinnon found the back of the net. In the second period, the Weeknight Division B 2nd team responded with three quick goals from Scott Phillips, Ian Jeffrey and Jon Kutney, followed by Willie Yuzicapi and Brad Hoey of the weekend team scoring to extend their lead. The third period saw Ian Jeffrey, Scott Phillips, Joey Sewell and Jon Kutney each score their second goal of the game before Joey Sewell notched one more goal to score the hat trick and lead the Weekend Division B 2nd team to an 8 - 6 victory.

Tim House led the weekend division B 1st team in goals with a hat trick, and Charles Powderface led the team in points with four assists. House's first goal was a shorthanded goal in the first period. Dom Niro scored a pair of goals for the weekend division B 1st team, and Mike Kolla (1 goal, 2 assists) and Craig McGinley (3 assists) each had a three-point evening. With 41 seconds remaining in the third period, Brent Hofer of the weekend team scored an empty net goal and signaled a 7 - 5 win for the weekend division B 1st team.

With just over 10 minutes remaining in the third period, weekend player Adam Lamont scored followed by a goal three minutes later from Kelly Ludgren to bring the weekend team within one goal. The weekend team pulled their goalie, which led to Jon Hollett of the weeknight team scoring an empty net goal with twelve seconds remaining.

The Weeknight Division A 1st team was victorious over the Weekend Division A 1st team in the last CAHL All-Star Game of the 2010 season. Riley Haugen, Matt Desmarais, Markus Koot and Mike Bannister each had a three point night for the weeknight team with a goal and two assists each, but it was Tyler Morrison who led the team in scoring with two goals. The weekend team's goals were scored by Carl Timmer and Steve Arruda. The Weeknight Division A 1st team won by a score of 10 - 2.

Admirals vs. Jets on Sat, Apr 17, 2010
David Duros scored a hat trick in the first period to put the Jets up by four after 15 minutes of play. Both teams battled diligently in the second period but were unable to score. In the third period, the Jets opened the scoring with a goal by Steve Koenig, followed seconds later by the second goal of the game from Christian McGregor. The Admirals rebounded with two goals scored by Connor Donaldson and Corey Doherty, but were unable to curb a 6 - 2 Jets victory.

Outlaws vs. Rats on Sat, Apr 17, 2010
The Outlaws led the Rats after two periods of hockey with goals by Triston House and Cody Gorlick. Outlaws' Garrette Baptiste opened the scoring in the third period. With less than a minute remaining, Blaine Dixon scored the fourth goal for the Outlaws. But this game wasn't over yet as Kyle Ryks of the Rats put the puck past Outlaws' goaltender, Stacey Brassard (27 saves, .964 save percentage), with five seconds remaining on the clock to narrowly evade the shutout and end the game 4 - 1, Outlaws over the Rats.
 

Kings vs. Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors on Sat, Apr 17, 2010
Justin Neighbours (1 goal, 6 assists) led the Kings with seven points in 10 - 4 victory over the Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors. On the opposing bench, Kevin O'Reilly led the Ted & Dave Custom Golf Professors with a pair of goals. Both teams scored on the power play in the second period with the Jets', Andrew Faulds and the Ice Holes', Joe Mungo finding the back of the net. In the third period, both teams went goal for goal until the time expired and the Jets had solidified a 6 - 3 triumph.

Top Dogs vs. Petrin Mechanical vs. Sat, Apr 17, 2010
Scott Anderson (3 goals, 2 assists) had a huge second period, earning a hat trick in Petrin Mechanical's 7 - 4 win over the Top Dogs. Anderson's three goals were scored in under 8 minutes and enabled Petrin Mechanical to take a two goal lead heading into the third. With eight seconds remaining in the third period, Petrin Mechanical's goaltender, Brian Dent, sent a puck down the length of the ice scoring the final goal to seal his team's victory.

TimberCreek Electric had a great start in the first period of action against Morley, scoring five goals and only allowing two. The second period saw both teams score a pair of goals to maintain the point gap. In the third period, Morley tied up the game with goals scored by Felix Beaver, Marcel Simeon (2 goals, 1 assist) and Keon Holloway (2 goals, 2 assists). In the shootout finale it was Morley's Keon Holloway who scored his second goal of the game to notch an 8 - 7 win for his team.

Maniacs' Dennis Thompson tied the game at two goals aside at 11:39. An elbowing minor penalty to Maniacs' Chris Ludtke put the Red Hawks on the power play where Trevor Murl (1 goal, 1 assist) scored to give the Red Hawks a 3 - 2 victory.

Ice vs. Petrin Mechanical on Fri, Apr 16, 2010
Kale Louven (6 goals, 3 assists) was unstoppable in a Petrin Mechanical win that saw each skater on the team earn at least two points against the Ice. The Ice were kept off the scoreboard until the third period when Howard Mac Kinnon scored a pair of consecutive goals less than a minute apart. Scott Anderson of Petrin Mechanical also had a huge night with 5 assists in his team's win.

Sculptures vs. Discharge on Fri, Apr 16, 2010
The Sculptures found the back of the net nine times to defeat the Discharge 9 - 3. Sean Leeder (4 goals, 1 assist) led the Sculptures in goals and Bert Lenny contributed 5 assists to lead the team in helpers. Steve Luft of the Discharge increased his scoring total to 22 goals on the season, sending a couple of pucks across the goal line. Sculptures goaltender, Dwayne Leantowhich, kept out 22 shots in the win.

Fighting Irish Republican Army vs. Dynasty on Fri, Apr 16, 2010
The Dynasty defeated the Fighting Irish Republican Army in a high-scoring Friday evening match. Brian Chau (2 goals, 5 assists) led the Dynasty in points and Huy Lam (3 goals, 2 assists) led in goals with a hat trick. The Fighting Irish Republican Army was kept off the scoreboard until just less than five minutes remained in the third period when Craig Greenwood found the back of the net, followed by Lukas Mayer adding another goal for the Fighting Irish with under a minute to go.

Dragons vs. Rug Doctors on Fri, Apr 16, 2010
The score remained tied at zero after 15 minutes of play with neither team capitalizing on their chances. The second period saw the Dragons light up the scoreboard with a goal by Ben Robichaud, followed by a goal by Rug Doctors' David Rogan to tie the game at one. The Dragons were the first to score again in the third period with a power play goal by Daren Paquin, followed by Rene Gonzalez of the Rug Doctors scoring to force a shootout with under two minutes remaining. It was Rug Doctors' Cole Piechotta who scored the deciding goal in the shootout to give his team a 3 - 2 final score.

Pylons vs. Top Dogs on Fri, Apr 16, 2010
It was the Top Dogs who came out on top during their match against the Pylons. After the first period of play the score was tied at two. The Top Dogs opened the scoring in the second period with a goal from Marc Souron (2 goals). Dave Meyer of the Pylons responded with a goal to tie the score again. A pair of goals by Jeroid Hann twelve seconds apart, followed by a goal by Scott Sullivan (1 goal, 2 assists) was enough to seal the deal on a 6 - 3 Top Dogs victory.


Beavers vs. Cobras on Thu, Apr 15, 2010
Brad Loewen scored a shootout goal to give the Cobras a 5 - 4 victory against the Beavers. The Beavers headed into the third period down a pair of goals. The Beavers' Craig Moss (1 goal, 1 assist) and Robin McLellen scored a pair of power play goals to tie the game at four, forcing a sudden-death shootout. Cobras' goaltender, David Eastman, stopped 37 shots in the victory to finish with a .902 save percentage.

The Money Shots were shut out in the first and third periods of hockey in an 8 - 2 loss against the Prairie Seals. Mark Lansing (2 goals, 1 assist) and Chris Edwards led the Prairie Seals in scoring with two goals each. The Prairie Seals' victory was greatly influenced by their strong start to the game, making a majority of their 43 shots on the opposing goal in the first and second periods.

Jason Myslicki of the Band of Brothers had a huge scoring night with four goals in the triumph. Lance Shaver (1 goal, 1 assist), Dave Graham and Scott Sera each put the puck past the goal line for the Iron Ringers. The Band of Brothers scored on four of seven power play attempts.
